Quick and Easy Crumbed Bocconcini Balls

What you will need –

Bocconcini Balls – I used Cherry Tomato Bocconcini Balls

1-2 cups Flour

Salt & Pepper

2-3 Eggs

2-3 Cups Bread Crumbs

Oil for frying – I cook mine in my Airfryer, so no oil needed for Airfryer 😉

Drain the Bocconcini and dry with paper towel, then wrap the Bocconcini in paper towel and sit in the fridge for 1 & 1/2 – 2 hours til dry…
Once your Bocconcini is dry, put flour into a bowl with Salt & Pepper for seasoning. In another bowl place the eggs and whisk them with a fork and place the breadcrumbs in another bowl…

You can start pre heating your oil or Airfryer whilst doing this step 😉 If using an Airfryer – pre heat to 200…

Roll the balls in the flour, then the eggs (making sure they are coated) and then the breadcrumbs…You can repeat this for a thicker coating but I only do 1 coating…If you want it thicker just roll the balls in the eggs and breadcrumbs a second time…

Once your oil is hot or your Airfryer is heated (you will know if your Airfryer is heated enough because the light will turn off on it) place your crumbed Bocconcini into your fryer BUT keep a close eye on them…
***NOTE*** They cook very quickly and can BURST and you will lose the cheese if this happens!!!

If you are using the Airfryer it only takes approximately 5 minutes maximum to cook 🙂
You can serve these with sauce of your choosing 🙂

Now serve and eat 🙂
